Sol Y Mar Cabinas & Restaurant:
As
I mentioned early on, every one of these places is different. Rick and Lorie and
their staff have taken on, to me, the hardest job in Zancudo. And that is to try
and provide something for everyone. 365 days a year, full time, restaurant and
bar, Cabinas, entertainment at least 1 night a week more like 2, BBQ 2 nights a
week, horse-shoes every Sunday, small Gift Shoppe, and those are only the one’s
I can see. With the help of their outstanding, long time staff (Karla, Willie
and Walter) they have found a way to juggle 10 coconuts at the same time. (For

Its an amazing thing to witness, then you can throw-in, every event known to man from a Hog roast to Super-bowl parties. I once heard Sol Y Mar referred to as an Adult Day-care-center. (I would guess that’s as good description as any.) Their nightly crowd, is a diverse group of, locals, ex-pat’ USA-Canadians, and travelers, coming from all-over the globe, with many of them coming back year after year. When I say crowd, I don’t mean a lot of people, 30 to 40 maybe 50 on a big night. For Zancudo, that’s a crowd.
A very well run business where food, fun and a little
craziness rule.
