Sol Y Mar is the most popular lodging in all of Zancudo and for good reason. The location is central and the beachfront stunning. The restaurant bar is the meeting place for tourists and residents in Zancudo. The owners Rick and Lauri work night and day to ensure that their guests have nothing short of a fantastic stay

Two separate Cabinas are spacious oases of comfort. Each has a double and a single bed where you can sleep with the soothing sounds of the ocean at your doorstep. There is also a futon/sofa that folds out into a double bed. They each have their own balconies, and unique showers (a tiled platform surrounded by smooth river rocks). A small portion along the top of the bathroom wall is screened, allowing the taller guests a view of the trees around the cabins.

Two other beachfront cabinas are duplex-style, spacious, and independent cabinas that share a long balcony directly facing the ocean. These cabinas have tiled flooring with private bathrooms and hot showers. They each contain a double bed, a single bed and a couch that converts to a single bed.

Sol Y Mar offers a fifth economy cabina is smaller and more rustic, with one double bed inside. It is set back a little further from the beach (60 meters) and the view from the ocean is partly obscured by the garden beside it. This cabina has a private balcony, fan, hot water shower, and tiled floor. This cabina is equipped with a small fridge and special discount rates are available for long-term stays.

There is a 3-storey house available for longer stays. The house is 50 meters from the ocean, with a big veranda on the lower level and a large balcony off the master bedroom upstairs. The house has a unique airy split-level design; each room is on a separate level, providing privacy. The lack of dividing walls allows gentle ocean breezes to cool the house.

The first level has a large veranda facing the ocean, with doors leading to the fully-equipped kitchen/dining area. A spiral staircase leads to the next level, with a living/sleeping room. The bathroom (tiled tropical blue) is also on this level on the other side of the house. The large master bedroom and its balcony are on the third (and highest) level of the house.

The house is on the far north side of the property, affording lots of privacy, but is still only a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel and restaurant.
